The In-Editor Writing Assistant
Open the Ask AI panel in the manuscript editor for seven actions. None of them ever edit your manuscript directly — every result has to be manually copied in, or in the case of feedback, isn't meant to be copied in at all.

The actions#
- Continue from here — writes a short, 2-4 sentence continuation from where you are.
- Get feedback — explains what's weak in a selected passage (repetition, passive voice, telling instead of showing, pacing) without rewriting it.
- Improve / Shorten / Expand selection — rewrites a selected passage; you decide whether to use it.
- Brainstorm — offers several distinct directions for a scene or idea, not a decision made for you.
- I'm stuck — offers three different directions forward when you don't know what happens next.
Still stuck?#
After using "I'm stuck," a link offers to start a Community discussion pre-filled with what Inkora already suggested — opening in a new tab, so you never lose your place in the manuscript.
