Read stories chapter by chapter

Every shared story has a page with a Start reading button, a reading-time estimate and a chapter list, and the same page-turning view as the preview.

• Readers choose a light, sepia or dark page, a serif or sans font and the text size.
• It reopens where the reader stopped, and the end of a chapter moves on to the next.
• Chapters you've only planned, or that are still empty, are never shown.

Story links open the story itself

Story cards in Community, and books attached to posts, now open the story page for community and unlisted books too, instead of the author's profile.

A fresh look for Community

Community pages share one look now, from the feed to groups, challenges and discussions.

• A new tab bar with icons; on a phone it scrolls sideways.
• Page headers with a clearer title and divider.
• Posts have proper like, comment, save and share buttons, and the like and save buttons fill in when active.
• Cards for stories, groups, challenges, writers and discussions look like one family and lift when you hover.
• Icons replace emoji, and empty pages show a round icon badge.

Choose Private, Unlisted, Community or Public for each book. Public stories get a page anyone can open, even without an account.

Reporting

You can report posts or people that break the community guidelines.

XP, levels and achievements

Writing earns XP, levels and achievements, such as completing your profile. Your progress shows on your profile.

Share posts with images, comment, like and follow other writers. A feed brings it all together.
